Two Englishmen resident at Darjeeling have been convicted of sending to The Englishman newspaper, at Calcutta, ia the name of the correspondent of that paper, alarming Tibetan war news, for the purpose of influencing the money market, One of them has been sentenced to 12 months' and the other to eight. months' imprisonment*
