ARRIVAL AT WELLINGTON. A ROUGH TRIP. [by telegraph.— press association.] Wellington*, Wednesday. The team of British footballers arrived from Sydney to-night by the Warrivnoo. The vessel had a very rough trip. The visitors will be accorded a public reception to-morrow afternoon, and go on to Christ eh ureh in the evening. They will have a practice at Miraniar in the morning. TELEGRAPH.—SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] Ellington, Wednesday. Four members of the British football team will probably slay at Government House while they are in Wellington. Some seats booked for the stand for the New Zealand match at five shillings have changed hands at £1. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Wednesday. Sir. Duncan has accepted the offer to coaoh the New Zealand team. Two emergency men, P. McAlinn (forward), of Manawatu, and Hunter (back), of Taranaki, have been requested to come to Wellington. It is understood that if Porteous (Otago) cannot play, of which there seems some doubt, Gallaher (Auckland), will be wing forward.
