F. Lowry, a popular member of the West End Rowing Club, was presented at the clubhouse last night with a very handsome gold pin, as a slight memento os the esteem in which his services are regarded by the members of the club. The pin has in raised gold the letters " W.E.R.C." The many friends of Mr. J. W. Donnelly, well known in athletic circles, will be pleased to learn that be is improving steadily, and expects to start work again shortly. He was injured some two months ago at Mangapeehi sawmill, through a large log rolling on him and pinning him against another log, which had to be jacked off before he could be released.
