A JAPANESE REVERSE.
SMALL COLUMN FORCED TO RETREAT. HfiAVY CASUALTIES . London, June 23. The Correspondent for the London Standard at the Japanese headquarters reports via Fusan that ft large Russian force, northwards of Feng-huan-cheng, attacked ft small body of Japanese at Kau-kia-tien, and that a stubborn % fight ensued, and the Japanese retired. The correspondent for the London Daily Mail, referring to this engagement, adds" that the casualties Of the Japanese were heavy, This incident is interpreted in London as a sign that ft large part of the Japanese troops about Feng-huan-cheng have been withdrawn, and sent towards Kaiping.
