I nv. usual monthly meeting .of the Fiako County Council was held at Mbrrinsville on■■' Wednesday. There were present: Messrs. Ohepmell (chairman), Larney, l MoCaw., Ring, Gavin, Bellamy, Brady, and Buckland. i'Sir. 1 ; Montague, of Gordon, called (attention jto the, bad state of a hill on, the Aroha-Mataraata'i road. • Referred to 'Foreman'Wattain for his * report. j- It i was decided itdl- accept s Mr. Hugh Wilson's offer of r £10 ?an acre for a! portion of the saleyard reserve at Waihou. The chief engineer informed the Council that it was impossible to grant £100 for repairs to Thompson's* track. Hardy's Mining Company were authorised to erect a light; tramway along the northein side of the bridge at the battery. '
