THE FOURTH DAY'S RACING. GLADSOME DEFEATED. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. StDNET, April 9. The A..1.C. brought their autumn meeting'to a conclusion at Randwick to-day. The weather was fine, and there was a large attendance. The Mew Zealand filly Gladsome was saddled up to contest the A.J.O. Plate, which event was run over the long course of three miles, and though she had to be taken on trust for such an extended journey she was sent out favourite, and that, too in the face of her having a proved stayer like Lord Cardigan to contend with. The latter had always most to say in the settlement of the question, and Gladsome being in difficulties a good distance from home, Lord Cardigan won a solidly-run race easily.
