The Otago Daily Times says:—Tho Union H.S. Co., managing agents of tho CanadianAustralian Line, have received advice that special rates have been arranged for passengers proceeding from New Zealand to visit America during the St. Louis Exhibition Passengers by this line enjoy the privilege of proceeding either to Sydney or Suva to connect with the Vancouver steamers, and second-class passengers are carried in the saloon from New Zealand to the port where thoy intend to join tho Canadian mail stoamer. From Vancouver there are various routes open for selection for making circular tours of the United States and Canada, embracing a visit to the exhibition. In connection with tho fair being held at St. Louis it might be interesting to note how this is progressing. Latest advices state that rapid progress is being made with the completion of the buildings and the laying-out Of the grounds of the great world's fair, and it is confidently expected that everything will be ready for the official onening, announced to take place on April 30 next. The hotel accommodation in course of erection within the ground, with space for some 6000 patrons and providing bedrooms and sitting rooms ranging from ,4s to £1 and upwards per'day, is all but ready for occupancy. Meilc can be obtained from the same hotel from 2? each upwards; so it will at once be seon that all ..-lasses of visitors san bo accommodated in every way, according to then tastes and the depth of their purses.
