Several mouths ago it was reported that some 300 men were coming from Scotland to Gippshind, Victoria, to work in the Outtrim mine. The report was apparently incorrect, but recently five men of Scotch nationality, all experienced miners, came to the mine. The strikers met them, and tried to persuade them not to go to the mine, with the result that three of them were prevailed upon to go away. ' Several strikers have applied to the manager for employment, but were refused, the, manager declaring that he would employ none of t.henii Arthur Nathan's "Reliable" baking powder should be in every household.
