STRATFORD RACING CLUB'S MEETING.

At the Stratford races there was a good attendance, there was fine weather, though windy, and, the racing was good, with close finishes- Two inquiries were. held, but the jockeys were exonerated, one oiv the ground of error of judgment, the other because of the unfitness of the horse. The inquiry wag open to the press. The following are the results:

Land o'Cakes ran up, but was beaten on the post. Won by a neck. Time tol 4-58. Dividends, £3 lis and £3 4s.

Rustique was winning when he gave in, the jockey thinking he was past the post. Won by a neck. , ■:■. Time, 2m. 45 3-ss.
