IRISH EDUCATION VOTE.
NOMINAL DEFEAT OF THE GOVERNMENT. By Telegraph.— Vm» Association,— London, March 15. In the House or Commons; Mr. Redmond caused the ; defeat of the Government on the Irish education vote by 141 to 130. (Received March IS, 8.48 p.m.) London, March 16. Mr. J. E. Redmond, for the purpose of raising a debate on certain points of the Irish Education Estimates, moved a reduction of £100. The nominal Ministerial defeat which followed was accidental. Many Ministerialists were engaged on various committees and did not participate in the division. Mi. Redmond's subsequent motion to report progress was rejected by majority of 25. ';'' .■''•:/'■
