LAWN TENNIS.
A most successful tennis picnic took place ', on'the Parnell Lawn Tennis Club's grounds' , yesterday afternoon. There was a large at- . tendance. The visitors were most hospitably ; entertained, and a very enjoyable afternoon j was spent. The players were divided into ;, two grades. In the final of the first grado . Mrs. Churton and Miss Gray beat Miss A ] Stewart and Miss Hull, and in the second > grade final Miss M. Towle and Miss Parsons j beat Miss D. Metcalfe and Miss Caro. The ] winners received trophies, end tho second i couples boxes of chocolates. »
