AUCKLAND UNIVERSITY COUNCIL. THE council of the Auckland University met yesterday ' afternoon. . Sir Maurice O'Rdrke was in'the-chair, find there ' were also present: The Rev. J. Hi' Simmonds, Hods. The question ok panting an Increased remuneration to Mr. M. Walker, lecturer on modern languages, was deterred till-the next meeting. It was reported, that there-was an estimated balance this year ot £85, and also that the income was £55z above the > -Government grants. .
