London, March 15. : Mr. Justice Bigham has awarded Messrs. Lovell and Chrismas, a firm ; of produce merchants, of Smithfield, >•■ damages! against the owners of'the J steamer Papanui for not mainlining the degree of temperature stipulated in the bill of lading as regards the carriage of cheese. The defendants pleaded that it was carried at the shipper's risk.
