A NAUTICAL COMMISSION.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRiSTCHtmcH, Wednesday. The nautical commission which inquired into the collision between the Ellen Ballanc.e and John Anderson, ordered Patrick McConville, master of the John Anderson, to pay half of the costs of the inquiry, and also his own costs, and Charles William Wallace Groves, master of tho Ellen Ballance, to pay half the costs of the inquiry and his own costs.
