FIGHT WITH TURCOMANS.

Teheran, December 15. Tee establishment of a Persian collector of Customs duties on the Eusso-Persian frontier led to a conflict with Turcomans. A Persian officer, and a Cossack, who were assisting in the collection, were killed. When the Governor of Astrabad appeared with a large body of troops the Turcoman Khans offered 100,000 tomans (£47,083) as compensation. The Governor asked for more compensation, and a fight ensued. Heavy Josses were inflicted on both sides, and the defeated troops retired to Astrabad.
