EDUCATION BOARD EXPENSES.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln, the Hbba£d of the 22nd inst. a statement appears that my annual travelling expenses in connection with, the Auckland Education Board were £15. : lam not aware who is responsible : for the form in which the return appeared,, but it is, to say the least of it, misleading', in my own case, inasmuch, as it would seem to show that the annual amount drawn fay me was £16,- whereas that sum was ail I received for a period of two years, on account of travelling expenses and allowances, although I frequently had to come down from my farm at Bombay. I may mention that at first I declined to accept anything at all,for travelling expenses, and that it was only when it was represented to me that such a course was not fair to other members that.
