THE DOMAIN EXCHANGE BILL.
[BY TELESRATn. —SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT.] ! Wellington, Thursday. A meetiJo of the Auckland members was convened for to-day to talk over the question of tie Domain exchange, but owing to several numbers being otherwise 1 engaged it was impcjsible to get to business. Mr. Kidd received I telegram from the Auckland City Council tl-day, objecting to the proposal to provide fjr a "poll of the citizens. Probably Mr. Kid] will accept the Council's decision on the natter, but there is. no doubt that the clau/e providing for a poll will be proposed, aid at this stage of the session theobjection of the promoters to a poll will materially reduce the chances of the Bill being passed.
