THE LIQUOR LAW.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invkiicargi 11, Monday. Ma. McCarthy, S.M., gave judgment at Gore in a case against Mr. George Whit;tingham, a brewer, for selling beer within the no-license district of Mataura. Defendant's license was issued after the passage of the statute authorising the carrying of no-license, and His Worship held that it was subject to that contingency. Defendant was convicted and fined £5 and costs.
