ARTILLERY AND REMOUNTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright. London, July 17. Lord Stanley, , Financial Secretary to the War Office, stated in the House of Commons that he was confident that Great Britain would soon possess infinitely the best artillery in existence.
Colonel Benson, the new inspec-tor-general of demounts, has been directed to make his department capable of expansion in wartime. Six purchasing officers in the United Kingdom and others in the colonies and abroad are to be appointed.
