MOUNT LYELL AMALGAMATION
By Telegraph— Association.— Copyright. London, May 22. A provisional agreement for the amalgamation of the Mount Lyeil and North Mount Lyell, has oeen sigaed. (Received May 24, 5.23 p.m.) London, May 22. The New Lyell Company will be regis-, tered in Melbourne with 1,300,000 £1 shares. It will take over the assets and liabilities of the amalgamated compaaies, each receiving 600,000 fully-paid shares, and 100,000 will be held by the new company as reserved capital. Mount Lyel' excepts from the operation £568,000 in cash for distribution to its shareholders.
