WELLINGTON HARBOUR.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Saturday. In reply to the statements made by the captain of the surveying ship Penguin, as to the shoaling of Wellington Harbour, Sir. Ferguson, the Harbour Board's engineer, states that the Board knew of the shoaling, but did not think it was quite so serious as stated. Steps have been taken by the Board to cope with it. The Board's new dredge is expected to be in the harbour before the end of the year.
