DESTROYED.
A THOUSAND PEOPLE RENDERED HOMELESS. By Telegraph.—Pi-obs Association.—Copyright (Received May 12, 12.55 a.m.) Ottawa, May 11. A fire at Ottawa destroyed 300 houses and 1000 people have been rendered homeless. The damage is estimated at a million and a-hal£ dollars. A man has been arrested on a. charge of firing the lumber yard where the conflagration started.
