HON. W. HALL-JONES.
VISIT TO AUCKLAND.
[BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS association,] Wellington, Monday. The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, Minister for Public Works, left for the North to-day.
New Plymouth, Monday. Mr. W. Jennings, M.H.R., to-day received a telegram from the Hon. W. HallJones, who stated that he was proceeding to Auckland. On his return he will meet Mr. Jennings at Te Kuiti on May 19, and visit with him the country south of i'oro-o-tarao. [by telegraph.—OWN correspondent.] Shannon, Monday. The IJon, W. Hall-Jones will arrive a t Stratford to-night, and .if the Weather is favourable he will go Gver the proposed extension of the Toko railway to-morrow, leaving in the evening for Auckland, via New Plymouth. He will arrive in Auckland on Wednesday or Thursday, and leave for Tahekeroa, with a stop at Wellsford, that, night.' On Friday he will go on to Whangarei, and on Saturday he will go from Whangarei to Kawakawa, returning to Whangarei on Monday, proceeding on to Auckland next day. He will leave Auckland for the northern end of the Main Trunk line on Wednesday or Thursday, and if the weather sennits will travel over the route to Mangaweka. Mr. Hall-Jones expects to be away about a fortnight.
