POLICE COURT NEWS.
Mb. H. W. Brabant, S.M.. presided at the Police Court on Saturday morning. Drunkenness: A first-offender was convicted and discharged, and another, who did not appear, had his bail money, 20s. forfeited. James Roach was fined 20s, or in default seven days' imprisonment, and a South Sea Islander, named Daniel, was fined 10s, and costs 2s 6d, or in default 48 hours, for his third offence within six months. Maintenance: Richard Gainsford was ordered to pay 10.' per month towards the support of his child, who is an inmate of an industrial school.
