• Sydxkv, May 8. When* the steamer Balmoral, from Westport, was entering Newcastle, she collided with the tug Victoria. Both vessels wore damaged, and it is believed that the Balmoral has suffered severely.
[The Balmoral is, a steamer of 5983 tons, and visited, Auckland in April lust, coming from New York Austrian under charter to the Tyser line. On uncharge of her cargo the steamer proceeded to AVesfcporb to load coal for Hongkong for the British Admiralty, and was calling at Newcastle for bunker coal.]
