NORTHERN S.S. COMPANY'S NEW STEAMER.
Mr. C. Hanson, general manager of the Northern Steamship Company, has received a cable message from Mr. * George Gow, .superintending engineer of the company! stating that the new steamer Rarewa, built to tho order of the company' on the Tav, near Dundee, has been successfully launched! The steamer has been got into'the water well lip. to contract time, and the fitting in of the engines and boiler, and the equip, ment of the steamer, will be pushed forward with every despatch. The Rawera is expected to arrive at Auckland in Sep. tember next.
