Ne- 1 gotiations with the Remuera and Mount Koskiil Road Boards for a water supply had been brought to a successful issue, an agreement haying been sined for a four years' supply Hie water had been turned on to each of the districts early in January. The pumps, engines, etc., were all in first-class order. J. ne Board being desirous of meeting the requirements of every ratepayer had to carry> out a work which involved a largo expenditure, but with the completion of the various services and the co-operation of ratepayers the hope was entertained that the present prices charged for water would be considerably reduced. The financial • statement showed that there was a credit balance of 4.14 15s 9d at the bank.
