The lode here looks really well, and is from 18in to 2ft wide. In breaking it down at the end of last week, strong dabs of gold were seen in the ore. A few feet further ahead this stope will reach a point where good gold was obtained in the level. A second stope has been started in this block, where the reef also looks well. The three blocks referred to have a total length of 90ft, and a height of about 140 ft. The main level on the lode is also being pushed ahead. The lode is about 4ft wide, composed of pug and rubbly quartz, and carrying dish prospects. The manager is daily expecting to cut the junction of Hannay's reef.
