<a New Zealand Herald Office, Monday evening. The Sharemarket was quiet to-day. In investment lines Northern Steamships (contributing) sold at 7s, with further buyers at that price,, sellers asking Jls 3d. National Banks at 90s were looked for at 88s. Buyers of New Zealand Insurances quoted at 89s, sellers firm at 90s. There was fair demand for other stocks at recent rates. In mining lines May Queen Extendeds were done at 3gd. Crowns changed hands at lis, sellers closing at lis 9d, buyers 10s 9d. Waihi Extendeds sold at Is Id, and White Stars at 3^d.. Waihis were slightly easier, sellers quoting at £5 7s 6d, with buyers at £5 5s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions were in demand at 23s 6d, sellers asking 265. In other lines late prices ruled.
