Burke, recently cook to a threshing camp, who disappeared from Southbridge about three weeks ago, was found in a paddock yesterday. Westpokt, Sunday. The Westport Coal Company's output last week was 7734 tons 16cwt. Grkyaiouth, Sunday. Exports for last week were:—Blackball Company, 1435 tons 12cwt coal; Brunner Company, 1932 tons >llcwt coal,' 52 tons llcwt coke, 17 tons 9cwt bricks. Ashbueton, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held to day. The number of members is now- 383, an increase for the year of 214. The bal-ance-sheet showed the credit for the year to be £233. The total receipts for the year were £1077. Permanent improvements to the show grounds have been made to the amount of nearly £100. The total value of the property of the association is now £1777. A sitting of the Arbitration Court was Void here this afternoon, when evidence was given in the tailors' dispute. Dtoedin, Saturday. J.nomas Chalmers, a labourer, aged 35, was found dead near the railway lino between Milton and Clarkesville. There is no suspicion of foul play. „ . , Wasgantji, Saturday. During the quarter ending March, 11 ocean liners have loaded frozen meat and produce in the roadstead, taking away from Wanganui 122,707 sheep and lambs, 7937 bales of wool, 1918 casks of tallow and pelts, valued at over £170,000. _, Wellington, Saturday. The directors of the Wellington Opera House Company recommend a dividend of 7" per cent, for the yean ending March 31. The rents for the vear totalled £1441.
