THE WAIKARE.

The Union Company's steamer Waikare left i Gisborne for Auckland at 3.15 a.m. yesterday, and should arrive about 5 a.m. to-day. The I steamer proceeds on to Sydney at eight o'clock to-night. THE MOURA. The Union Company's steamer Moura is due i from Fiji to-day, and on discharge of her ! cargo of fruit proceeds on to Wellington. The Moura then goes on to AVestport, and returns to Auckland, and is timed to leave for Fiji again on the 22nd inst. THE EOTOKINO. The Union Company's steamer Eotokino is due from Sydney. Fiji. Samoa, and Tonga today, and is timed to leave for the islands and Sydney again on Wednesday evening. THE TOMOANA. The steamer Tomoana, of the Tyser line, arrived from London and Australia at 12.30 p m. 3*esterdav, and after the usual inspection berthed at the Queen-street Wharf. Captain 11. Hollis is still in command, and brings I his fine steamer into port in excellent order. | The Tomoana left London on February 2 and reached Melbourne on March 20, after a very creditable passage of 45 days. Normal weather marked the voyage to the Victorian port. After discharging cargo, which included a large quantity of explosives, the steamer proceeded on to Sydney, and after putting out further consignments resumed the voyage to Auckland on Tuesday evening last; passed Cape Maria Van Diemen at 6.15 p.m. on Saturday, and arrived as above. Experienced strong north-west gale, high sea, and much rain and thunder in the Tasman Sea. The following are the deck officers:— Mr. McQueen; second, Mr. Smith; third, Mr. Mock; fourth. Mr. Erskine. Mr. Chappell is still in charge of the engine department, and has with him Messrs. Hutchison, Lacy, Lockley, and Reap, Messrs. Cameron and Landretli being the refrigerating engineers. The Tomoana will commence discharging cargo this morning. THE MARAROA.-ROUGH WEATHER, The Union Company's steamer Mararoa, Captain E. E. Smith, arrived from Sydney at 4.30 p.m. vesterdav, and anchored in the stream for medical and Customs inspection, which was promptly carried out, the steamer berthing at the Queen-street Wharf at 5.30 p.m. Mr. Broad, the purser, reports:— Mararoa left Sydney at 1.42 p.m., and cleared Port Jackson Heads at 2.35 p.m. on Wednesday last. Soon after clearing the Heads a heavy west-south-west gale sprang un, accompanied by frequent heavy rain squalls, which lasted all the way across. When the New Zealand coast was made, fine clear weather and smooth seas were experienced, continuing until arrival. Cape Maria Van Diemen was passed at 11.55 p.m. on Saturday, Cape Brett at 7.54 a.m. yesterday, the harbour being made as above. Notwithstanding the heavy weather met with the Mararoa maintained a splendid rate of speed throughout. The Mararoa leaves for East Coast and Southern ports at 4 p.m. today. PORT OF ONEHUNGA.
