[nr TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Friday. Mr. W. North am, of Wakapuaka, died last night, aged 62. He arrived in Nelson in 1842, and was a son of Mr. W. Northam, sen., who lost his life at the Wairau massacre of June, 1843. Christchurch, Friday. Mr. W. P. Cowlishawj of the firm of Garrick, Cowlishaw and Fisher, died today. 11l the provincial days he was a member of the Provincial Council, and also provincial solicitor and city solicitor for a great many years. * Carterton, Friday, William Booth, the well-known sawmiller of this district, who recently 'returned from England, where he had been for the benefit of his health, died last night, aged 66. /
