MUNICIPAL VALUATIONS.

The valuation returns .for the City of Auckland for the ensuing year have been completed by i the valuer , (Mr. =E. Buckling). They show; an increase of £28,451; over last year, ' and with the general rate of .9d in the £ the increase will make a difference of slightly over, £1000 in f the general income of the corporation, provided that the valua- * tions; are not materially, reduced by the Assessment Court. : The valuations are as follows: —East Ward, £124,929;! Grafton Ward : £45,979; North Ward, £104,193: Ponsonby Ward,- £68,527; South Ward, £45,687 ■"> total £387,315.
