The market is strong. LONDON WOOL SALES. By Telegraph.— Association.— London*, October 2. The wool sales are animated. Crossbred wools are fully 5 per cent, above the opening prices. At the wool sales 176,000 bales were catalogued, of which 97,400 were sold for tho Home market, 61,000 for the Continental, 7000 for the American and 26,500 held over. Compared with the July sales, good greasy merinos closed at 10, good scoureds at 5, and New Zealand scoureds at; par to 5 per cent, higher. Faulty merinos were unchanged. Occasionally buyers favour fine, _ greasy crossbreds. Crossed were T it medium 10, coarse 7>, and scoureds from par to 5 per cent, higher. Lambs' wool was 5 to 10 per cent, higher.
