Last night the Auckland Amateur Opera Club, Auckland Liedcrtafel, and assisting musical friends held a most successful full rehearsal of " Hinemoa," for soloists, chorus, and orchestra, auguring well for the concerts which take place in the Choral Hall to-mor-row and the following night. As introductory items in the first part, the Liedertafel arc contributing two part-songs with orchestral accompaniments by Dudley Buck, " The Bugle Song " and " Chorus of Spirits and Houris," both of which are delightful compositions. In the " Ra-ha" chorus (a Maori war dance described by orchestral work, combined, of course, with vocal effect, and admitted to bo a marvel of musical cleverness), the Liedertafel will again lend valuable help.
