In mining lines Bunker's Hills were again in brisk demand, with sales at from 4s to 4s 7d to 4s 2d, with late buyers at 4s, sellers 4s 3d. Hauraki Freeholds* were done at 9*d and lOd. Kuranuis changed hands at 8d and Bid, May Queen Extended* sold at sd, and Victorias' at 2jd. Tairua Broken Hills changed hands at 9s 6d, with further buyers at 9s 3d, sellers 9s 9<l. Waihi Consolidated* had sale at 7d. Komata Reefs were looked for at lOd. sellers 11 Jd. In other lines late prices ruled. NEW ZEALAND CROWN MIXES, LIMITED. AN" INCREASED RETURN. £6026 FROM 2390 TONS. TOTAL TO DATE. £445,006. During the month of August the New Zealand Crown Mines, Limited, crushed and treated 2390 tons of ore for the satisfactory return of bullion valued at £6026. This, notwithstanding a smaller tonnage treated, is a considerable increase upon the July return, when 3029 tons yielded £5044. The total won from the mine to date is £445,006, as shown in the following table of details: —
