Mr. Allsop is, the youngest son of Mr. George Allsop, of Upper Queen-street, and was a pupil in the office or • , Messrs. Mitchell and Watt, architects to the Auckland Board of Education. He attended the classes at the Auckland Technical School, and whilst there passed with credit the South Kensington examinations. Mr. Allsop then went to London, and attended classes at the Polytechnic in Re-gent-street, and was . subsequently appointed assistant-architect to the Malay Government.
