FIRE NEAR ASHBURTON.
[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] \; , Ashburton, Thursday. Information has just been received that a foe occurred by which a house recently occupied by Mr. S. Curd, near Ashburton, was totally destroyed on Wednesday evening. There was no insurance on the building, which was the property, of the County Council. The house was an old one. and Messrs! Brown and Macdonald, builders, had just taken timber to repair it, and this was lost, amounting to £11 worth.
