THE HAUROTO. * The-Union Company's,'steamer Hauroto, Captain W. J. Newton, arrived from Sydney and the Islands at 1 p.m. yesterday, and after medical inspection berthed at the Queenstreet Wharf to discharge her cargo of fruit. Tho Hauroto was not expected to reach this port until to-morrow, hut received quicker despatch in the Friendlv Groun than was anticipated, and was therefore unable to keep her time-table date. Mr. H Bates the purser, reports:—The Haurotc left Sydney at 1 a.m. on ; July 2, and arrived at Suva at 4 - m - on the 10th: left at 5 a.m. on the Uth, and called at Levuka and Ba the same date, and relumed to Levuka the next afternoon. Proceeded on to Samoa at 9 p.m. the same date, and reached Ania it daylight on the 15th; left at noon the next day. and called at Varan and Haapai on the 1, h, J £ n( ? "ached Nukualofa at daylight on the 18th. .Finished discharging and loading cargo, and left for Auckland at n m on the 19th. arriving as above.
