CHINESE NAVAL DISASTER,
A CRUISER SUNK.
LOSS OF 150 LIVES.

Hongkong, June 23. A terrible naval disaster is reported from the Yangtse River. The magazine on the Chinese cruiser Kaichio exploded while the vessel was in the river. The explosion damaged the cruiser so much that she sank in half a minute. Of those on board 150 were killed or drowned. Only two were saved.
