THE DAIRY INDUSTRY
[by telegraph.—own CORRESPONDENT.] Tatjranga, Tuesday. Mr. McGowan, the Government, head dairy expert, has been on a visit to this and the Te Puke district, and is greatly pleased at its prospects and potentialities for dairying purposes. He strongly urges on settlers the advisability of co-operation, and thinks the district very suited for it, the farms being held in small areas. One thing that struck him was the green appearance of the natural pastures at this time of the year, and with a fair amount of artificial feed, the district could supply a factory almost all the year round.
