AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET. The market was quiet yesterday. In investment lines buyers were quoting freely, but no business resulted. In mining lines Komata Reefs sold at Is sd. Waihi Extendeds receded, sales being reported at 2s Id and Is lid, sellers closing at 2s, buyers Is lOd. Waitekauris were done at 2s 3d, more being wanted at 2s 2d, sellers 2s 6d. For Crowns buyers offered 12s lOd, sellers asking 13s 4d. In other lines late prices ruled. The afternoon call was dispensed with to enable the members to attend the funeral of ,the late Mr. L. A. Levy. KOMATA BONANZA G.M. CO. In the Komata Bonanza Gold Mining Company's mine, the No. 1 level has been extended 59ft from the starting-point, and the drive is now timbered up to the face. Quartz veins are being met with which are tarrying gold. The country is becoming firmer, and the indications are of •-, favourable character. A good many oi the local shareholders visited the mine during the last few days. SOUTHERN MINING. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Hokitika, Monday. The heavy rains which have fallen during the last few days, have caused all sluicing operations to be resumed. Dunedin, Monday. Dunedin Exchange sales : Alexandra fead, 6s 3d ; Golden River, 5s ; Junction Electric, 188 6d; Molyneaux Kohinoor, 3s 6d discount; Old Dunstan, 3s 3d; Rise and Shine, 225; River Molyneaux, 2s 6d ; Teviot, 4s 6d.<TDuring the week ending to-day, returns have been reported from 64 dredges, the total yield being 22930z l4dwt Bgr, or an average of 350z per dredge.
