A novel cookery demonstration can easily he given, and the expense of eggs in winter be avoided by using custard powder, Tucker's. Four packets in each Cu box; four flavours. The opening entertainment of the Newton Public Band of Hope will be held in the Foresters' Hall this evening. A very good programme of songs, mandolin solos, instrumental selections, recitations, etc., has been arranged, and Mr. Arthur Rossen will be the speaker.
