* .I i BOWLING. The following games were played on tha Newmarket Bowling Club's winter green on Saturday: — No. 1 Rink: Daws, D. Anderson, A.Holmes, Cutlet (skip), 18, v. Schischka, Dive, Mahoney, Kaston (skip), 15. No. 2 Rink: Alaguire, Brickwell, Flct- . cher, 11. W. Brookes (skip), 23, v. Huddlestou, Cottle, Bevins, Thornes (skip), 20. No. 3 Rink: Whitaker, Spreekley, 0. G. j Laurie, Ledinghain (skip), 18, v. Rawthall, ■ D. Stewart, Dingle, Kilgottr (skip), 21. . The committee have decided to hold in tournament on Thursday, June 26 (Coronation Day), commencing at half-past one sharp. All iKTwlers are invited. GOLF. . The final 18 holes of tho foursome match for the captain's prize was played by members of the Auckland Golf Club at the Cornwall Links on Saturday afternoon, and tho result was a win for Messrs. I-lirker and C. Gillies, with a score of four down. Messrs. Cochrane and Haft were one hole better than the winners at the 14th hole, but lost tho last four holes, whereas the winners won the 16th hole, and halved the last two holes. The final results on the 36 holes are as follows:— ' ,1. Kirker and C. Gillies. 4- down: E. W. Payton and R. A. Carr, 9. down; W. Cocln rane and Hall, 9 down; G. Burness and J* Rutherford, 9 down: J. Colbeck and J. S. Lennox, 11 down; Coates and Bruce, 12 down; Pollen and Sykes, 13 down; H. Gillies and Gilfillan, 13 down; H. Bauiford and E. Dargaville, 14 down; J. Turner and J. Burns, 15 down; W. Peel and C. Heather;) C. Arnold and J. R. Bioomfiold, 18 down.
