Neville is now in command i»f the MoHOwai, vice Captain C. McArthur, who has been temporarily in command. Captain Fee t well-known in New Zealand, leaves Australia immediately for England to bring out the new Huddart-Parker steamer Victoria. ■ (Sir Maurice O'Rorke, Speaker of the 'House of Representatives, and member for Manukau, leaves for Wellington to-day, in order to take up his sessional duties on the Ist; pros. ■ Our Coromandel correspondent telegraphs : —At the convent schoolhouse on Friday evening, a most successful gathering was held, at which all denominations were represented, to bid farewell to Miss McCormick, who is leaving Coromandel. The Rev. Father Egan, on behalf of the St. Coleman's Roman Catholic congregation, presented Miss McConnick with a beautiful lady's gold watch, silver-mounted bread platter and knife, and pair of silver salt spoons. Captain A. R. Swindley, on behalf of the people of Coromandel, presented Miss McCormick with a handsome silver-mounted purse, filled with sovereigns, and in making the presentation stated that Miss McCormick had at all times been willing to assist all denominations and charitable objects, when her services could help. He wished her a long and happy married life. Mr. Gelling and Mr. Charles McCormick suitably replied for Miss McCormick.
