SHOOTING MATCH AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Saturday. The Thames No. 1 Rifles to-day competed a., the Parawai range in the second and final handicap for Mr. W. McDonnell's silver cruet, the ranges being 500 yds and 600 yds, 10 shots at each. Sergeant Pearce, who put up the highest score in the first contest, was again top scorer to-day, with a total of 86 points, out of a possible 100, and he therefore becomes the possessor of the handsome trophy.
