Tiietje was an outburst at Mount Pelee on Friday of heavy clouds of smoke and steam, but no stones. Upheavals of the sea between St. Vincent and St. Lucia indicate submarine eruptions. Soufriere is again emitting steam, with flashes of flame, and this has increased the apprehensions of the residents of St. Vincent.
