RESUMPTION OF LAND.
[BY TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Hokitika, Saturday. Negotiations for resumption of Mr. Deedrich's estate of 5000 acres at Kokutahi have so far advanced that the Land Purchase Board now recommend the resumption of 1/00 acres, the balance,* 3300 acres, being left to Mr. Deedrichs and family. The case was to have come before the Court on the 20th inst., and extensive preparations were beingmade by the Crown and Mr. Deedrichs for the conduct of their respective sides. A number of expert land valuers who have been inspecting the country, were recalled to-day, and it is now expected the matter will be adjusted on the recommendation of the Commissioners.
