» LORD MAYOR DECLINES TO ATTEND THE CORONATION: A motion was made at a special meeting of the Dublin Corporation to nominate some of its members to represent that body at the Coronation in accordance vriiih the precedent created at the accession of Queen Victoria. . ' '. The Lord Mayor (Mr. T. Harrington, M.P.) ruled the resolution out of order. No invitation bad been sent to the corporation to attend, and no provision had been made for them. The corporation had no power to send delegates. , In the course of the discussion which ensued the Lord Mayor mentioned that he had been invited to attend, but that he did not intend to go". When the Lord Mayor announced his decision loud cheers wore raised by a crowd assembled in the gallftry, and. a voice shouted out, "There will be no flunkeyism this year." A member suggested that if they sent a deputation they might be accommodated, not, as one of the speakers had stated, with places in the street, but with 1 stated, with places in the street, but with places in the Tower.
