Good progress continues to be made with the Coromandel waterworks contract. The \ pipes are now being laid alont; the - main road. A section of the pipes already laid was tested yesterday, and the water was running from the dam to the bridge ' on' Tiki Road. The tes*. was highly satis- ■ factory. The Auckland ;; and Suburban Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary Association holds its 1 third annual championship ,„,show in the •- Choral Hall: on June 19, 20, and 21. The przes, both in money and trophies, are both large and valuable, and entries for the various olasses close at the clubroom, Hurst and Co.'s. Queen-street, between seven p.m. and ten p.m. to-night.*
